I never liked when people said "they don't have time..." Every day has 24 hours. As long as we are breathing, we all have the same amount of time: 24 hours that day.
So I started to say "I cannot seem to make time for ..." and continued with more honest variations until I eventually just ended being brutally honest with "that is not important enough..."
Then I realized, that how beneficial it is when people like you. I don't care why they like me; everyone has their own reasons. So now I spare their feelings and put the blame back on an annonymous yet pervasive entity: time and tell people that "I didn't have time..."
